Elvis Presley!

I just wanted to do a post in tribute to Elvis! For those who don't know I am a huge Elvis fan, I have been since I was little. I can remember when I was about ten years old I was walking through the store with my dad, we were looking at Elvis CDs and talking about him, then my dad said "Ash you do know that Elvis is dead don't you?" I couldn't believe it! I asked him "When did he die?...Yesterday??" I was so sad to find out that Elvis had actually died August 16th 1977, eight years before I was born. So today is the 17th of August and I meant to post this yesterday but oh well!

Happy Anniversary!

Chad and I have been married now for three years!! Crazy Huh?! Our Anniversary was on August 13th, time has just flown by! It has been such a fun adventure and I can't wait for the rest of forever! Love you!

Our Idaho Vacation!

Ok There are a lot of pictures and posts about this trip, hope no one gets borred, but we had a blast so I had to document! (haha) We went to Idaho for our summer vacation this year. I have lots of extended family and Chad has three sisters that live there now, so it was a no brainer about our vacation destination:)

We got to Uncle Matt and Aunt Tana's Thursday afternoon. We picked up my cousin Candice in Salt Lake. The drive was a little squished but Candice thought of fun games for us to play on the drive, so it went fast.

Chad, Matt, Dad and Meg made a four mile hike into a remote mountain lake to do some serious fishing. They were all pretty sore the next day, but chad said the country was beautiful!

Sadly this was the end of the line for our camera, it got droped in the water and so as you will see many of the pictures after these are blurry. But I snagged a lot of pictures from family members for the blog. Thanks guys!

Sunday After church, Aunt Tammy and her family came and we ate lunch/dinner in the back yard. It was such a nice day. We visited and played games most of the afternoon!




We also walked down to the river and the boys had a rock skipping contest, while the girls snaped pictures.

Redfish Lake!

On Monday we all went up to Redfish Lake! I love that lake, it holds a lot of great summer memories for me. It is a beautiful lake! Uncle Val and his family came, and Aunt Kim and her family came. It was fun to play with all the cousins. We rode the boat, tubed, skied, caught tons of minnows, and swam in the freezing water!! Aunt Tana, Meghan and I had fun tanning on the beach, but I should have applied a little more sun screen. Chad and I both got a little sun burned! Its funny, we live in AZ, vacation in Idaho, and come home with a better tan than we left with, must be the elevation! (ha ha) Chad got up on the skis and the wake board! Uncle Matt was awesome and pulled us in the boat all day. I rode in the tubes once,and that was enough for me.Good thing Aunt Tana rode with me to keep me calm! I'm not much of a thrill seeker.(Hehe) We ate lunch on the beach, and we all went to the lodge and got Redfish shirts! It was a fun day.

On Tuesday morning Heather, Sydney and Mallory came to pick us up, and we drove to Rachelle and Scott's house to see them, and BABY TENLEY! Tenley is our newest niece, and she was only about a week old when we got to see her. It is so fun for me that I have four nieces now. I am the oldest in my family and I always thought it would be a really long time before I had any nieces or nephews! N-E-way we shared a hotel with Heather and the girls so that we could stay and have more baby time!! We got to snuggle with Tenley most of the day, and then Vanessa got home from work so we all went back to the hotel and swam! Then we went out to eat at this cool Mexican food restaraunt, and I learned that in Idaho bean burros are called bean BURRITOS! My brother-in-law Scott, tried to tell me that if I ordered a "bean burro enchillada style" the waiter wouldn't know what I was talking about. Well I thought that he was kidding, so when the waiter asked me what I wanted I said "I would like a bean burro enchillada style," he just looked at me weird and said "A What?" Then Scott was behind him mouthing "I Told You So!" It was so funny!! The next day we hung out, visited, and got ice cream. That afternoon we headed back to the Kelsey's house. Thanks for having us Hurds, it was fun to see you guys!

After we saw the Hurds for a few days we went to Heather and Zack's house. They play on a co-ed softball team for their city league, (It looked so fun, I wish we had something like that here!) and they played a double-header that night. They both played good, and Zack pulled a Hami, and got a crazy strawberry from sliding! (It is hard core!!) We had fun with Syd and Mal cheering, and running around on the grass! We stayed up late that night and played games! (LOTR Monopoly rules!) The next day we went on a Dinner Cruise on the river it was so cool! We saw some pretty waterfalls and I tasted Salmon for the first time, crazy huh! Vanessa came the next day and it was fun to see her and some of her friends. That Afternoon we went bowling, and got drinks at Sonic! We also got to go see the beautiful Twin Falls temple while we were there, it makes me excited for the temple that will be built here. That night my dad and sisters came and crashed at the Kelsey's so we could get a good start on the trip home in the morning. We stayed up late and played games again, and Meghan, Heather, and I went at midnight to get Breaking Dawn! In the morning Zack made us a killer breakfast! and we headed for home. Thanks for having us guys, we all had a great time!! On the trip home we stayed over night in Salt Lake and it was really cool to see Temple Square. I haven't been there for a really long time, so it was nice.

Breaking Dawn!

Heather, Meghan, and I went at Midnight on August 2nd and stood in line to buy the new Stephenie Meyer book called Breaking Dawn! It is the fourth book in the Twilight series which is really popular. There were a few book stores opening at midnight to sell them. The first book store that we went to was having a "Twilight Prom" and there were lots of people dressed up. They had cake, punch, trivia questions, and door prizes. When they started asking the trivia questions a lot of people started yelling out the answers, so we decided that we would yell them too, really loudly! It was a crack up. Heather won a door prize, and we all got Twilight stickers. After we rocked that party, (haha) we went to Barnes and Noble book store and got in line. There was a lot of people there, but the line moved fast. We all got our books and it was really fun! I read much of the way home, despite getting car sick. The book was awesome!
